We are offering you a comprehensive range of quality medical and practice nurse services, at convenient rates, under the same roof.

Medical (GP) services

  • Standard private consultation: €70
  • Review/follow-up consultation: €35 (same medical problem reviewed within 2 weeks from initial visit)
  • Family consultation (2 members): €120
  • Family consultation (3 members): €140
  • Repeated prescription: €25
  • Repeat prescription for contraceptive pill (blood pressure check-up incl.): €35
  • Letter (example: letter confirming registration): €25
  • Driving license medical: €70 (incl. CIE staff members)  
  • Medico-legal report: €400
  • Medico-legal report (updated): €250
  • Well man check: €150 (general medical examination & general blood test, the latter performed by the Nurse)
  • Well woman check: €150 (general medical examination & general blood test, the latter performed by the Nurse)
  • ​Ear syringing: €70
  • Helicobacter Pylori screen (quick blood test, results available in 5 minutes): €40 (performed by the practice nurse or GP); €70 (2 family members): €100 (3 family members); This test is not to be used for re-testing in case you were previously diagnosed with H. Pylori infection.​​
  • Travel vaccination: €70 (excludes cost of vaccines). Note: we do not do Yellow Fever vaccination in our clinic
  • Pertussis vaccination: €40 (free for registered pregnant women between 16 - 36 weeks of pregnancy); includes cost of vaccine
  • ​Flu vaccination: €0 (for those over 65 years old and those with qualifying conditions). Unavailable outside these conditions. Free for registered pregnant patients.
  • Antenatal & postnatal care: €70 (first visit only, then free of charge under the Maternity and Infant Scheme)
  • Sexual health screen (STI screening): €120 (includes GP consultation & blood tests/ swabs done by Nurse)
  • Mirena coil removal: €100​
  • Removal of stitches or staples (by doctor): €70
  • Depo-Provera injections (includes prescription for the pharmacy and administration of injection): €70
  • Alopecia areata treatment (Triamcinolone intralesional scalp/beard injections): €120 per session, subject of the size of the affected area (usually 2 to 3 sessions, depending on response)​

We are GP healthcare providers for CIE (Coras Iompair Eireann) Group of Companies
(Includes Dublin Bus, Bus Eireann, Iarnrod Eireann & CIE Tours)

All CIE Group of Companies employees with a medical card issued by CIE (having Charlestown Medical Centre & Dr. Alin Marga nominated on it) and their own families are now offered free GP care in our medical centre. If you are a CIE employee with a different surgery nominated on your CIE medical card and wish to change it to us, please check this with the CIE Head Office and you are more than welcome to join us here.

Nursing services (Practice Nurse)

  • Blood test adults*: €50 (a prior appointment with the GP is mandatory)
  • Other injection treatments: €25 (per each session & excludes cost of administered medication)
  • Dressing clinic (new wound): from €50** (if no suture is required)​
  • Sutures & staples removal (by nurse): €50
  • Helicobacter Pylori test: €40 (result available in 5 minutes); €70 (2 family members); €100 (3 family members)​
  • Childhood immunization: free (under Primary Childhood Immunization Scheme)
  • Travel vaccination***: €70 (per each vaccine, excludes cost of vaccines and cost of the GP visit)
  • Flu vaccination: €0 (for those over 65 years old and those with qualifying conditions). Free for registered pregnant patients. Unavailable outside these conditions. 
  • Anti-tetanus vaccination: €40 (incl. cost of vaccine)
  • Pertussis vaccination: €40 (FREE for pregnant women between 28 - 32 weeks of pregnancy); includes cost of vaccine
  • Smear test: €0 (if eligible for Cervical Check screening programe)​

Important:

(*) If you think you might need a blood test, you will have to see the GP first before seeing the Nurse for collection of the blood samples. Note: Blood tests for those under 16 years of age are done in the pediatric hospitals (with referral letter from GP).

(***) Travel vaccinations can be done by the Nurse, but a GP visit is required prior to vaccination.
